Carolyn Forché just returned from El Salvador, where she participated in a special tribute to Archbishop Oscar Romero on the 30th anniversary of his assassination, and her friend and mentor, Leonel Gomez Vides, who died on November 25, 2009. Here she is photographed with Madre Luz of the Hogar Para Niõs Divina Providencia. Madre Luz was present at Monsignor Romero’s death, and has been a friend to Leonel and to Carolyn for thirty-two years. The tribute took place on March 25th at the Hogar Para Niños, and was offered by SIES, Sindicato de la Industria Eléctrica de El Salvador.
